Company Review and Testimonials
Company website
I am immediately motivated to see something like a veteran/military spouse freelance community. As a veteran and military spouse who does a lot of freelance work, this is like the mothership calling me home.
The one thing that may turn some professionals away is the 10% fee that is withheld from their pay. This fee is charged to both freelance workers and the clients looking to hire them. It is no different from other independent contracting positions where the parent company retains a percentage of the income to sustain its operations.
Based on the FAQs, it seems that it is possible for a company and a freelancer to make their work arrangements more permanent. If a company wants to directly hire the client, Freelance Vets can make sure that happens.
So, over all, I am enamored by the freelancing community staffed by veterans and military spouses. While many job boards and staffing agencies fill slots in traditional 9 to 5 roles, Freelance Vets taps into a niche of underemployed professionals and enables them to work from anywhere.
