Military & Veteran Focus
Who would Diversant be best for?
This company is best suited for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses who have IT skills and experience.
Additionally, veterans who are looking to obtain IT skills may also be interested in applying since Diversant has a training program for veterans.
Does the company offer specialized service(s) for veterans, transitioning military, or military spouses?
Yes. Diversant has a STAR Initiative, which is a program “designed to provide a pipeline of US Veterans talent for performing IT work at Client sites. The program sources, vet, trains, and places candidates…onsite for inclusion in their contingent and permanent workforce.”
Veterans who are selected to participate in the program undergo intensive training in the basics of quality assurance (QA), Java configuration testing, and other skills. Training is conducted live in a classroom setting in New Jersey and via online videos and webinars.
Once their initial training is complete, veteran candidates will be placed with Diversant’s clients as a consultant. They will continue to receive industry-specific training from the client. After a year of serving in the Diversant Star Program, participants can convert to regular staff members.
Here are the criteria for STAR Program candidates:
- B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Desire to learn IT skills
- Honorable discharge from the military
The Diversant Star Program is a great opportunity for veterans to gain free IT training and get paid while serving as a consultant.
Does Diversant offer discounts to military or veterans?
No. There is no indication that there are fees or discounts for the company’s services.
Is the company veteran owned?
No.

Unique Services & Programs
Diversant believes in making the perfect match between the client’s needs and the capabilities of their consultants. From the Diversant website:
“While some IT staffing firms choose to change their consultants capabilities to match an opportunity, we do not believe in modifying resumes, nor do we misrepresent our IT consultants to our clients.”
Apparently, the practice of blurring resume details is a common occurrence in the IT field, so it’s nice to see that Diversant retains a position of utmost transparency.

Diversant Review and Testimonials
From the moment you land on Diversant’s web page, one can immediately start searching for IT jobs instead of hunting around for the job board. Most people going to job sites are looking for jobs first, then other information second.
There are dozens of jobs listed on their job board. However, they do not have open positions in every state. For example, as a test I wanted to see how many jobs were in Idaho, and there were none.
Interestingly, Diversant has listings for jobs in Canada as well as in the United States. Another great thing to see is that there are 100% Remote jobs on there as well. So job seekers can find jobs that don’t require relocation.
As for benefits, Diversant pays its employees every two weeks, regardless of when the clients pay. The company offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401k program with company matching after one year of work.
I’m still really excited about the STAR Program that Diversant started to train and place veterans into IT careers. I’m confused why a candidate is required to have a bachelor’s degree at all considering that they’re going to receive IT training. They did not specify that it had to be a degree in Computer Science, so just any degree will do. Either way, if they help even one veteran obtain a rewarding career after the service, then it’s worth it.
Company Testimonials
These are a couple of the reviews and testimonials found on Diversant’s website:
“IT is a field that I’ve been trying to crack into for ten years; there were no places that were willing to give you an entry-level IT position, but the STAR Program offered me that opportunity and I jumped on it.” – Veteran review
“Diversant has afforded me not only the opportunity to take control of my career but ensure that I can continue to grow year after year.” – Project Test Coordinator
