Hiring Our Heroes connects the military community with American businesses to create economic opportunities and a strong and diversified workforce. They have hosted more than 1,400 interactive hiring events around the globe. You can find them in all 50 states and on military installations in Germany, Italy, Japan, and Puerto Rico. They have a 43% offer rate from in-person events, as of 2019.

They have different types of events:

  • Career Summits, where they connect transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and military caregivers with military-ready local, regional, and national employers. The summits include industry-focused workshops, interactive panel discussions, and a career fair.
  • Hiring Fairs, where they bring employees and military community job seekers together for geographically or industry-focused events, both in-person and virtually.
  • Hiring Expos, where they host in collaboration with professional sports organizations and venues across the country. Hiring Expos connect military job seekers with recruiters and hiring managers from local and national businesses of all sizes.

In addition to these events, they also offer Fellowship Programs, where you can gain hands-on experience in the civilian workforce. They also offer workshops with career development intensives, spouse programs, and professional networking groups that will connect you with opportunities to learn and grow professionally.

Hiring Our Heroes has the Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Employment Advisory Council (MSEAC). MSEAC was formed specifically to address military spouse unemployment. It connects spouses to national and local employers of every size and industry.
