New Castle School of Trades

New Castle School of Trades
New Castle School of Trades was founded in 1945 and is one of the premier trade schools in the PA and OH area. They train students to become sophisticated and innovative craftsmen that will become tomorrow’s highly skilled technicians. The school started in New Castle, PA, and in 1954, after outgrowing that location, the school moved to a larger one in Pulaski, PA.
In 1973, the school was awarded an accreditation by ACCSC, and in 1982, they started offering the Associate in Specialized Technology degree for Electrical Technology. They now offer 14 different programs in total.
In 1988, the school was acquired by EFC Trade, Inc. In 2011, the school moved again to a new 93,000 square foot facility in New Castle, PA, and moved most of their programs over. The original site in Pulaski is now the New Castle School of Trade’s satellite location and offers Commercial Truck Driving, Heavy Equipment Operations with Commercial Truck Driving, Motorcycle & Power Equipment Technology, and Diesel & Heavy Equipment Repair Technology.
In 2016, they opened a branch campus in East Liverpool, OH. They offer Combination Welding, Electrical and Industrial Maintenance, and Refrigeration and Climate Control at this branch.
The New Castle School of Trades is a Veterans Administration (VA) approved institution. Many of the staff, current students, and graduates are veterans. This school is best for veterans interested in the wide variety of trades the school offers programs in.
