As you guys start out on this job search, really where you need to start is with you! A lot of vets, who are amazing leaders, high performers, can’t articulate their value, and so you have to start with what I call a personal inventory.
On the Accelerated Career Development Pathway (now called Military Transition Roadmap) we actually give you a form to fill out to assess your best qualities, that drive results for organizations. But you need to take that personal inventory and know your strengths and your weaknesses, which we call opportunities for growth, and how to articulate those to a potential employer.
